As of last Thursday, more than 86,000 people have applied for Governor Newsom’s health corps, which seeks retired and part-time medical workers as well as those still being trained to help respond to the anticipated COVID-19 surge in CA.
“It’s all hands on deck to get us through this,” Pocekay said. “This is the biggest worldwide problem in my medical lifetime, and I do feel a need to offer whatever I can in that respect.
