Here in California, and across U.S., health departments are working at a furious pace to hire large numbers of contact tracers
to help control the spread of COVID-19 and get the economy back on track. As they build these forces, many states and localities are trying hard to hire from the racial and ethnic minority communities hit hardest by the virus.
