DMHC Fines Anthem Blue Cross $3.5 Million for Mishandling Member Complaints
California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) imposed a fine of $3.5 million on Anthem Blue Cross for not addressing member complaints in a timely manner. This included sending out thousands of late acknowledgment and resolution letters for grievances.
