WHO: Health Equity Action Team (a subgroup of Sacramento Building Healthy Communities – a coalition of community-based organizations, advocates, medical students, and other health equity stakeholders)
WHY: UC Davis Health has FAILED our community. After many attempts to work with UCDHS leadership to bring back primary care services to poor families in Sacramento – the conversations have stalled. It has been over TWO YEARS since UCD Health has seen a Medi-cal patient for primary care (and NOT in the Emergency Room). Thousands of families continue to fall between the cracks.
