Blue Shield Fined $250,000 by California Department of Health Care

DMHC Fines Blue Shield of California $250,000

The California Department of Health Care has found Blue Shield of California illegally billing members for contraceptive health care services. The plan paid the fine, and made $228,254 in reimbursements, interest and penalty payments to 334 members who were incorrectly charged.
