Speakers will include Senator Richard Pan (D-CA); Dr. Anthony Iton, Senior Vice President of Healthy Communities from The California Endowment; Kim Williams, Hub Director for Building Healthy Communities; Amy Williams, Co-Chair of the Health Equity Action Team Coalition, and a UCD Health medical student. WHO:\u00a0<\/strong>Health Equity Action Team (a subgroup of Sacramento Building Healthy Communities \u2013 a coalition of community-based organizations, advocates, medical students, and other health equity stakeholders)<\/p>\n

WHY:\u00a0<\/strong>UC Davis Health has FAILED our community.\u00a0 After many attempts to work with UCDHS leadership to bring back primary care services to poor families in Sacramento \u2013 the conversations have stalled.\u00a0 It has been over TWO YEARS since UCD Health has seen a Medi-cal patient for primary care (and NOT in the Emergency Room).\u00a0 Thousands of families continue to fall between the cracks.\u00a0 Please check out our website for more information:\u00a0http:\/\/sacbhc.org\/partners\/heat\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n
