Times article <\/a>on how a plan to repeal the ACA will impact Californians:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>[T]he federal government contribution will probably be less than what states are currently receiving and won\u2019t increase enough over time to keep pace with rising costs,\u00a0forcing states to either reallocate funds to fill the gap or make cuts, according to a recent Commonwealth Fund report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch a change would effectively reverse a 50-year trend of expanding Medicaid in order to protect the most vulnerable Americans,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<p>Dylan Roby,\u00a0assistant professor of health services administration at the <a href=\"https:\/\/sph.umd.edu\/#quicktabs-homepage_quicktabs=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Maryland School of Public Health<\/a>, said California would probably be faced with a multibillion-dollar shortfall too large to fill with state funds.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Read the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commonwealthfund.org\/publications\/issue-briefs\/2017\/jan\/repealing-federal-health-reform\">Commonwealth Fund report here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;13.5 million Californians are covered by Medi-Cal.
